Here's a brief summary of the OS-02 sound and its comparison with OS-01: - The sound is completely different from the OS-01 in terms of character - Details are up totally, if the old OS-01 doesn't hit the amp that is okay and the clean DAC will feel a bit rough, this changes the total level of detail. A much higher level than OS-01. - The high is much crazier. The clarity and extend upper treble are completely upgraded compared to OS-01. If you want to match 2 specifications, the high is up to 43khz and the height is :p. - This mid is transient and the clarity increases completely. The mid muddy tebel OS-01 has been completely corrected. The table is still there, it's just that the clarity has increased completely, especially the mid to lower mid area which in the OS-01 is a bit difficult to be good, in the OS-02 it is super clear (especially with a clean dac/amp, even crazier). - Bass impact changes completely, if in the OS-01 the sub bass is embarrassing and the sputter is not clear and you have to put it in the amp to really come out, this is the sub bass is stunning, hard-hitting but the decay is not as crazy as cheap headphones (not as long as the pro82 decay but the impact makes the basshead satisfied. When else do you try to have open airy headphones but the bass doesn't disappear like the open series :p). - The soundstage is even wider with larger and neater imaging and headstage - The yoke is MUCH more solid, no more crek2 sound like the old OS-01 - In terms of character, if OS-01 is neutral to warm, the OS-02 is neutral to a bit w shaped a little (Like the open version of fostex th-x00, it just depends on the amp. If the amp is good, it's a different story :D).
