Along with the resurgence of the Sultans in the archipelago, there were also efforts to record the history of their respective sultanates. Research and writing history that has a political meaning, namely as an effort to represent the identity of the sultanate. From the overall motivation there seems to be no plan to revive #39; Batang is submerged, meaning re-establishing the role of the sultanate as an official political institution. What is interesting is that the revival of government units through the expansion of provinces or districts goes hand in hand with the revival of the sultanate institution itself.
