Euthyrox 25 mcg for the treatment of euthyroid goiter, prevention of recurrence after strumectomy, hypothyroidism, for combination therapy with antithyroid, total post-thyroidectomy and thyroid suppression test General Indications: For the treatment of euthyroid goiter, prevention of recurrence after strumectomy, hypothyroidism, for combination therapy with antithyroid, total post-thyridectomy and thyroid suppression tests. Composition: Each tablet contains levothyroxine sodium Dosage: Euthyroid goiter: For adults 75-200 mcg is given and for adolescents 50-150 mcg is given. Prevention of recurrence after strumectomy: 75-200 mcg. Hypothyroid: For adult patients, an initial dose of 25-50 mcg is given and an increase of 25-50 mcg at intervals of 2-4 weeks Rules of Use: For oral use, take a daily single dose in the morning on an empty stomach (at least half an hour before breakfast) Attention: Diabetes, high blood pressure, heart failure, hypothyroidism Side Effects: Possible side effects are irregular or rapid heartbeat, chest pain, headache, muscle weakness or cramps, redness and warmth of the face, fever, vomiting, menstrual disturbances, tremors, restlessness and weight loss.
